Personality Plus

Personality Plus is a best-selling self-help book written by Florence Littauer. The book starts off by introducing the four basic temperaments that people can be divided into - Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholy, and Phlegmatic. Each personality type comes with its own strengths and weaknesses, and the differences are explained in detail by the author. The book then offers its readers a personality test, so that they can understand their own personality and build on their strengths when interacting with others. It also helps its readers understand the personality types of others, so that they can get along with difficult people too, by catering to their emotional needs. The book draws examples from the author's own experiences, and highlights the different needs that people have, so that readers can understand themselves, and others around them, better. Florence Littauer is a popular motivational and Christian speaker. She speaks at women's events, corporate seminars, and church meets. Littauer has authored more than 30 books, and her first book was released in 1978. Her works include the autobiographical The Pursuit of Happiness, After Every Wedding Comes a Marriage and Looking for God in All the Right Places. After the success of Personality Plus, she followed it up with Personality Plus for Couples: Understanding Yourself and the One You Love and Personality Plus for Parents: Understanding What Makes Your Child Tick.
