Personality Trust and Gossip in Academia

Trust in organizations is shaped not only by structural elements but also by individuals' personality traits and social interaction patterns. This book examines the impact of personality on organizational trust and reveals how organizational gossip plays a role in this relationship.
Analyses within the framework of Sociotropic-Outonomic Personality traits show that some personality traits are more affected by gossip and this directly affects the perception of trust. It is emphasized that gossip is not only negative, but can sometimes function as a tool that strengthens social bonds.
