Iğdır 1919 - A Civil War Kaça - Kaç In the Shadow of Ararat

The preparation of this book required extensive archival research both within Turkey and abroad. I owe a deep debt of gratitude to all the archive staff—many of whose names I do not even know—who offered their assistance without hesitation. I was always delighted when someone reached out by phone or email to inform me that they had located a document I had requested, and I truly appreciated their professional and sincere approach.
In this book, you will find three separate prefaces written in Turkish, Kurdish, and English. These are not identical in content, as each one is tailored to its intended audience and provides complementary information about Iğdır for international readers. I am especially grateful to Münevver Ölçer for her generous assistance with the Kurdish translation.
